 The Crash Data Retrieval System is capable of downloading both pre-impact and post-impact data from certain General Motors vehicles. General Motors first allowed their vehicles to be commercially downloaded in 2000. Ford Motor Company is presently allowing certain vehicles to be commercially downloaded, however, the Ford vehicles do not include pre-crash data.
